Ben Abraham

Today we took a wan­der around Hawthorn and what it had to offer for some songs on a beau­ti­ful sunny day… and a few sur­prises popped up; an old run down motel, a des­o­late park for a sunny Sun­day, a drain, an orches­tra band play­ing some­where in or around a foot­ball sta­dium. Hawthorn truly is the sub­urb of dreams…

Ben Abra­ham being a famil­iar to the area meant some were not com­plete sur­prises to him, but a rifle acad­emy liv­ing in a small shed next to a com­mu­nity gar­den did catch him off guard.

*** right now I’m really wish­ing Ben did a song with “sur­prise” in it and I could do a mean segue… unless ***

So with all these sur­prises Ben Abra­ham, who enjoys doing var­i­ous cov­ers, one being Fake Plas­tic Treesby Radio­head who also sing a song called No Sur­prises, so it was with no sur­prise that he played orig­i­nals all day… no this isn’t work­ing is it…

Ben treated us to a num­ber of songs as we walked and drove around Hawthorn. The clips shown here, Until You, With­out Love and Some­thing To Say should fill your catchy pop fix for the day and cel­e­brate the first Ukulele on One Moment Shows (next one bet­ter have a banjo).
